Online Triage

Online Patient Triage is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us.

Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible.

Late night opening

Clinics will be held weekly on a Monday


6:30pm - 8:15pm and MUST BE booked in advance.  
These appointments will be for routine telephone consultations.

We will not be able to take incoming phone calls after 6pm, and the surgery will not be open for general enquiries or to collect prescriptions.

See a GP by video with LIVI

This practice now offers a video GP service – LIVI – to all our patients.  You can get medical advice, prescriptions and referrals by video, with appointments available on the same day, even at weekends.  They link in directly with your medical records at the surgery.

Appointments can be booked either via the surgery reception team or directly via the App.   Confirmation of your appointment and a link to sign up to the service will be sent to you when you book your appointment.

They are available to book appointments at the evenings and weekends and on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.  

 

We are delighted to be able to let you know that the patients of Quay Lane Surgery are currently able to use LIVI from 6.30pm until 8pm Monday to Friday and from 8am - 8pm every Saturday.

It's free to use and has both bookable and drop-in GP Video appointments available.

 

Please note that the LIVI GPs are not GPs from Quay Lane Surgery.

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP online system – Patient Access
  • phone us on 01503 230088, Monday to Friday from 8:30am
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10am.
